Global Siksha Editorial · 8 Oct 2026The National Medical Commission (NMC) invited online applications from institutions that want to establish new medical colleges for MBBS, and from existing colleges that want more MBBS seats, for academic year 2027-28. Part A of the application opened on 8 October 2026 and Part B opens on 1 November 2026. Both parts close on 31 December 2026 at 11:59 pm.
This notice is for institutions, not for students. Approved seats are announced later and decide how many places are available in counselling, so students should rely on the seat matrix of the counselling authority when it is published.
